Ball Pendulum System (BPS)
01. The rolling ball was covered with a high damping material to lower the displacement response.
02. The dynamic responses of the superstructure resulting from either earthquakes or micro-excitations can both be isolated by the BPS.
03. The structure of the BPS is very simple. The BPS is suitable for controlling the dynamic responses of the attached equipment. (medical facilities, sensitive apparatus, high-raised floor and so on)
04. The isolated facilities can operate normally during installation.
05. The mechanical behavior of the BPS is stable; therefore, no maintenance is required after installation.
06. The residual displacement of the BPS base isolator after an earthquake is negligible.
